Cambridge Pancreatic Cancer Symposium 2017

The next symposium will be held on Friday 5th May, 2017 at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, University of Cambridge. Workshops will be held on Saturday 6th May.

The Elizabeth Coteman Fund is the leading specialist pancreatic cancer support group in the eastern region. Established in 2010, in memory of Elizabeth Coteman, who died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 59, the Fund is well established as a pancreatic cancer charity and think-tank.

Now operating outside the eastern region as well, with a formal presence in the north east of England, the Fund offers a range of services and benefits to individuals, families and carers living with, and beyond, pancreatic cancer, including:

  • Emotional and psychological support and befriending
  • Bereavement support
  • Financial grants and hardship payments
  • Respite breaks
  • Funding to support clinical trials
  • Guidance and signposting on managing the patient journey
  • Equipment loan service
  • Transport services
  • Close working with health professionals, and local and national cancer and pancreatic cancer charities
  • Membership of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition

The Elizabeth Coteman Fund and its volunteers are recognised as patient champions, with deep personal knowledge and experience of pancreatic cancer, as well excellent experience of the NHS. Regionally, the Fund works with both Maggie’s and Macmillan, and alongside NHS surgical and medical oncology services.

As successful fundraisers The Elizabeth Coteman Fund welcomes grant applications from, and on behalf, of, individuals who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and their families.
