Catherine Burke - HPB support nurse
Catherine has 7 years of nursing experience since graduating as an RN from Middlesex university. Catherine started her nursing career on an acute surgical HPB ward at the Royal Free Hospital, a tertiary centre for HPB patients in London. During this time Catherine expanded her knowledge by caring for patients with complex HPB needs.
Following this Catherine moved to the intensive care unit at the Royal Free Hospital where she gained further skills and knowledge caring for level 2 and 3 HPB patients.
In keeping with family life Catherine then moved to her local trust where she continued to work in intensive care. Further developing her nursing skills Catherine took on the role of Acute Pain Nurse Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Catherine now supports patients holistically through their care pathway to provide world class care at Addenbrookes Hospital utilising all of her acquired skills and knowledge from her nursing career.
