Aarthi Gopinathan – Translational Scientist
Aarthi Gopinathan did her doctoral thesis work in Professor Tuveson’s laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania and the Cancer Research UK – Cambridge Research Institute. Her research involved working on preclinical therapeutics and the biology of pancreatic cancer, identifying pathways and therapies of importance. In her current role as translational scientist, she conducts laboratory research on the molecular pathways involved in pancreatic cancer development. She also works on the trials of pancreatic cancer, from both the clinical and translational perspectives. She is particularly interested in making the connection between pre-clinical research and the clinic.
Her goal is to utilise her scientific background to incorporate translational research into clinical trials, with the aim of improving our understanding of pancreatic cancer to enable the development of better therapies.
