Dr Hui-Ling Ou –  Research Programme Manager

Hui-Ling is a research scientist by training before transissioning to the adminstrative role. Functioning as the bridge internally within the programme and externally with national and industrial partners, she works in close liasion with Centre Admistration Team for clinical trial/study coordination, public/patient engagement, event organisation and financial management.

Gerald Coteman – Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Liaison

Gerald has a background in health going back to the early 1980s when he joined the Board of the then Cambridge Health Authority. He subsequently became a Board Director of North Herts NHS Trust, based at the Lister Hospital, and joined the Addenbrooke’s NHS Trust Board in 1999. With the advent of NHS Foundation Trusts, he was appointed to the Board of Cambridge University Hospitals Foundation Trust in 2004.

Sally Pascall – Patient and Public Involvement representative

Sally was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April 2011.  It proved to be operable and she underwent a pylorus preserving pancreatico-duodenectomy in May 2011, followed by 6 months of chemotherapy (gemcitabine). All appeared to be going well until in June/July 2012 when she was diagnosed with Type 3c diabetes and two peritoneal secondaries. There were no treatment options other than folfirinox, an experimental therapy.
