Laura joined the clinical cancer trials team at Addenbrookes after a 7 year career at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
Laura’s role involves providing nutritional assessment, advice and support to patients through the whole cancer journey. Laura began her dietetic career at Barts and the London and during her time at Addenbrooke’s has worked as a Gastro dietitian and then a Liver dietitian before becoming a Pancreatic dietitian. She helps people with support and advice regarding what they are eating and drinking as well as with pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT). She sees patients in surgical and oncology outpatient clinics and while they are inpatients on the surgical and oncology wards. Her role also involves training other professionals in the nutritional aspects of peoples’ care and supporting other dietitians looking after people who have pancreatic cancer or have had surgery to their pancreas.
